The guide book publisher Trailblazer have partnered with FarOut, the No.1 producer of apps for the world’s best trails.
Together they have produced apps for the most popular UK hikes. And it’s just like having a Trailblazer guide book on your phone.
The apps provide detailed interactive mapping which you can download onto your phone.
You can then use your phone’s GPS, so no cellular or Wi-Fi signal is required to stay on the trail!
But the apps do more than just prevent you from getting lost. The maps provides precise distances to features such as town facilities and attractions, water sources near the path, pubs and cafés on the trail – all the details that you would expect from a Trailblazer guide book.
